DUAL PLATE CHECK VALVE
Functioning:
A dual plate check valve operates by using two semicircular plates that pivot on a central hinge
pin to control the flow of fluid. When fluid flows in the forward direction, the pressure pushes
the plates open, allowing the fluid to pass through with minimal obstruction. If the fluid flow
reverses, the pressure drops and, in some designs,a spring mechanism cause the plates to
close, preventing backflow. This quick and smooth closing action reduces the risk of water
hammer,ensuring safe and efficient operation. The compact design of the valve also results
in a low-pressure drop and is well-suited for space-constrained systems.
