The Saber Blast™ Nozzle from Sponge-Jet is a revolutionary abrasive blasting nozzle that leverages advanced gas-dynamic design to accelerate abrasive particles up to 25% faster, boosting production speeds by as much as 50% without increasing air pressure. Its optimized speed-to-volume ratio was developed in collaboration with Penn State University to separate and tune air and media flow for maximum kinetic energy transfer. Constructed with a silicon-nitride composite inner liner and anodized aluminium jacket, it offers exceptional wear resistance, thermal shock tolerance, and mechanical strength in harsh environments.
The Saber Blast™ Nozzle is designed as a drop-in replacement for standard long-venturi nozzles, requiring no equipment or compressor modifications. By treating the abrasive stream and air stream as separate components, it achieves higher impact velocities—comparable to increasing nozzle pressure by 20–25 psi—while maintaining the same operating parameters. Available in sizes #6 through #12, it accommodates common thread configurations (¼-18 NPT, 7/16-20 UNF, oval flange) for seamless integration into existing blast setups.
