  • Fluid Control Products: Broad range for applications in industries like oil & gas, food & beverage, pharmaceuticals, and water treatment.

ASCO products are known for reliability, precision, and durability, making them ideal for critical applications in industrial and commercial sectors worldwide. Their solenoid valves are often used in everything from HVAC systems to industrial automation processes.

SOLENOID VALVES

Solenoid valves are electromechanically operated valves that control the flow of liquids or gases. They use a solenoid, which is an electromagnetic coil,  to open or close the valve.          These valves are widely used in various industries, including automation, HVAC, oil and gas, pharmaceuticals, water treatment, and food processing.

Key Components:

  • Solenoid (Electromagnetic Coil): When electrically energized, it generates a magnetic field that actuates the valve mechanism.
  • Plunger: A metal rod that moves in response to the magnetic field, either opening or closing the valve.
  • Valve Body: Contains the inlet and outlet ports through which fluids or gases flow.
  • Spring: Ensures the valve returns to its default position when de-energized.

Types of Solenoid Valves:

  • Direct-Acting Solenoid Valves: These valves directly open or close the orifice when the coil is energized. They’re ideal for low flow and pressure applications.
  • Pilot-Operated Solenoid Valves: These use the inlet pressure to assist in opening or closing the valve, making them suitable for larger flow rates and higher pressure.
  • Two-Way Valves: These have two ports and control the flow of media by opening or closing the valve.
  • Three-Way Valves: These have three ports, used to divert the flow between two different outlets or combine the flow from two inlets.
  • Four-Way Valves: Common in pneumatic systems, these valves control the flow to different actuators and cylinders.

ASCO™ Series 314 Solenoid Valves

The ASCO Series 314 is a line of direct acting, general service solenoid valves which can be used as moderate flow pilots for smaller control valves and actuators. With only a spring and two moving parts, the valve is ideal for basic three-way piloting operation It is suitable for analytical and diagnostic equipment, automotive, bottling, dust collector system, and life science applications.

  • Durable brass and stainless-steel constructions for long life
  • No minimum operating pressure required
  • Can be used for low-volume fluid diversion
  • Also available in low-power, intrinsically safe, and voltage ranging constructions
  • A limited range of globally approved explosion-proof enclosures are available with this series

Key Features:

  • Compact Design: The Series 314 valves have a small footprint, making them ideal for installation in tight spaces and compact systems.
  • Direct Acting: These valves operate without the need for minimum pressure, ensuring reliable operation in low-pressure systems.
  • Fast Response Time: They offer quick opening and closing, making them suitable for precision control applications.
  • Wide Range of Orifice Sizes: Available in various orifice sizes to accommodate different flow rate requirements.
  • Materials: Constructed with durable materials such as stainless steel and brass, ensuring a long lifespan and resistance to corrosion.
  • Manual Operator: Some models come with a manual operator for emergency or maintenance operations, allowing manual override when needed.
  • Certification and Standards: The Series 314 solenoid valves meet several international standards for quality and safety, ensuring reliability in critical applications.

Applications:

  • Pneumatic Automation: Used to control actuators and other pneumatic devices in automation systems.
  • Control Cabinets: Ideal for installation in cabinets where space is limited.
  • Medical and Analytical Devices: Employed in precise flow control systems for laboratory and medical equipment.
  • HVAC: Used in heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems to control airflow.
  • Industrial Machinery: Suitable for industrial automation and control systems, providing efficient and reliable operation.

The ASCO™ Series 314 solenoid valves are known for their reliability, efficiency, and ease of installation, making them a popular choice in various industries for controlling neutral gases.
