Miyawaki, founded in 1933, is a prominent Japanese company specializing in the development of steam traps and related steam system equipment. Their products are widely employed across various industries, including petrochemicals, power generation, and food processing. Renowned for their commitment to innovation and superior quality, Miyawaki provides durable, energy-efficient solutions designed to optimize the performance of steam systems. The company places a strong emphasis on reliability, ensuring their products consistently meet industry standards, while also offering comprehensive customer support to maintain long-term efficiency and satisfaction.
STEAM TRAPS
Steam traps are essential components in steam systems, designed to automatically discharge condensate, air, and other noncondensable gases without letting steam escape. They help maintain efficiency by ensuring that only steam is present in the system, preventing energy loss and potential damage to equipment.
The key focus area of MIYAWAKI Inc. is the manufacturing of steam traps. MIYAWAKI produces all general types of steam traps: from traditional thermodynamic, thermostatic and float (inverted bucket and ball float) steam traps to advance in a technical and economic sense temperature control thermostatic steam traps.
The wide range of steam traps produced helps to find the most suitable solution for the customer. All models and connection sizes are available according to JIS, ANSI and DIN standards.
INVERTED BUCKET STEAM TRAPS:
- A type of mechanical steam trap.
- Inverted bucket mechanism.
- Operate on the difference in density between steam and water.
- Discharge the condensate intermittently.
WORKING PRINCIPLE:
The trap contains an inverted bucket attached to a lever, which is connected to a valve. When
steam enters, it causes the bucket to float, closing the valve and trapping the steam. As the
steam condenses, the bucket loses buoyancy, sinks, and opens the valve to discharge the
condensate. This cycle repeats, ensuring efficient removal of condensate while preventing
steam loss
Types:
- ES: Cast Iron Inverted Bucket Steam Traps for small up to medium condensate loads
- ESU: Stainless Steel Inverted Bucket Steam Traps for small up to medium condensate loads
- ER: Cast Iron Inverted Bucket Steam Traps for medium up to high condensate loads
- ESH, ER25: Cast Steel Inverted Bucket Steam Traps for high pressure and small up to high condensate load
FEATURES:
- All traps are equipped with stainless steel wear and corrosion resistant lever, valve and seat system for long and trouble less life.
- All valves and seats are lapped together.
- Traps of the series ER contain the patented SCCV® (Self Closing and Centering Valve) -System, which increases the lifetime of the valve and seat substantially.
- A small hole in the top of the bucket secures continuous automatic air venting.
- All traps are designed for quick and easy inline repairability.
- Withstands high back pressure (up to 90%)
APPLICATIONS:
Heat exchangers, dryers, unit heaters, sterilizers and other applications, where condensate must be removed immediately.
SUPER-DISCHARGER:
- Incorporates the MIYAWAKI SCCV® -System.
- Double valve system with needle pilot valve and main valve.
- Operates by the pressure difference inside the valve unit.
- Makes the discharge capacity very large.
- Designed for high pressure up to 6,4 MPa (925 psig) – only for ER25.
