KPC Corporation was established in 1977 and it has gained a good reputation as a worldwide company in producing high-performance alloy steel valves and engineered materials. The Side-Entry Three-Piece Trunnion-Mounted Ball Valve is the flagship product of KPC designed to achieve safe, reliable and efficient isolation under both standard and severe service conditions. These valves are oil and gas pipeline specific valves that focus on performance, safety and longevity as the primary consideration. The ball-design trunnion mount design reduces operating torque, seat wear, and allows stable operation of its valve design even with large diameters and high pressure.
The split body construction with three pieces construction is easy to maintain and inspect and it supports the full-bore and the reduced-bore configurations. The valves have a capacity of double block and bleed (DBB) features making them highly secure in that they can be isolated to pressure and the cavities vented in an event of maintenance or shutdown.
Every valve offers a range of standard features that increase safety. Some of these may include blow out proof stem safety, an anti-static device, fire-safe design safety, an emergency seal injection system safety feature, as well as draining and venting fittings that ensure ease of handling. There may also be support legs.
KPC provides many special options that cater to different operational requirements. The options range from Emergency Shut Down Valves (ESDV) with fast-acting actuation, HIPS and HIPPS solutions that provide high-integrity pressure protection, and specialized high-performance coatings that include weld overlay coatings, electroless nickel plating, and cobalt alloy deposition. Seals that are resistant to explosive decompression are also provided for valves that experience severe pressure cycling conditions.
