A Gangway Tower is a marine terminal access system that allows people to safely move between a jetty and a vessel. Since a ship’s deck level can change due to tides or loading conditions, a fixed access structure may not always be suitable.
Gangway Towers are designed to adjust based on vessel freeboard levels. This helps maintain safe boarding conditions even when the ship moves vertically. These systems improve operational safety and help prevent accidents during crew transfer or inspection activities.

This type is useful when the ship’s deck level moves up and down significantly due to tidal differences or cargo loading. The gangway position can be adjusted automatically to match the deck level and tower tiers.
It typically includes anchor bolts, steel structure, lifter system, telescopic ladder, bulwark ladder, and electrical and hydraulic equipment. Optional features include a topside crane and control room for nearby loading arms.
Column Type Gangway Towers are suitable when deck height changes are less compared to elevator types. This design also supports double gangway systems in areas where standing space is limited.
The supply scope includes anchor bolts, steel column body with turntable, telescopic ladder, bulwark ladder, and electrical and hydraulic equipment. Optional crane and control room facilities are also available.
Rotary Type Towers are useful when jetty-side fender space is narrow and the vessel deck level is not too high compared to the jetty. The tower body and telescopic ladder can rotate to suit the movement of the vessel.
It includes anchor bolts, steel column body with turntable, telescopic ladder, bulwark ladder, and electrical and hydraulic equipment. Optional crane installation is available if required.
